2016 GMC Terrain redesign

As far as the exterior goes, the new front and rear ends help lighten the Terrain’s look and give it a more upscale appearance. The front gets a 3-bar chrome grille with the black honeycomb backing. The new C-shaped chrome ring is placed around the new LED headlights, as well as the back lights. Under the hood of the new GMC Terrain 2016, the engine lineup will include the standard 2.4 l 4-cylinder capable of delivering 182 hp and 172 lb-ft of torque, or the optional 3.6 l V-6 engine capable of pumping out 301 hp and 272 lb-ft of torque. Both of the engines will come with a direct fuel injection system and variable valve timing. The engines will come paired with the 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, and FWD is standard for all models while all-wheel-drive system is optional. Smaller 4-cylinder engine with FWD has EPA estimated fuel economy rated at 32 mpg at highway while optional V6 powerplant offer fuel economy rated at 24 highway mpg.
