The current Jeep Patriot has been on the market for a few years already and even though the car is quite cheap and does offer a nice combination of performance, comfort and affordability, it isn’t exactly selling very well due to the fact that there are simply better cars in the same price range. Exterior
The outside of the 2016 Jeep Patriot comes wider, lower as well as longer and the boxy shape remains but not too much squared. Just like previous models it comes with seven-slot grille and chunky door handles. The front is expected to be a lot more aggressive which with the sloped back will certainly give the car a really nice design. There are nine 2016 Jeep Patriot colors available, with one new color for this year model: Billet Silver Metallic Clear Coat, Black Clear Coat, Bright White Clear Coat, Deep Cherry Red, Crystal Pearl Coat, Granite Crystal Metallic Clear Coat, Maximum Steel Metallic Clear Coat, True Blue Pearl Coat and Mojave Sand (late availability). It comes in two trim levels: Sport and Latitude.

Interior changes
On the interior things are going to be quite different than before. With boxy exterior, the new 2016 Jeep Patriot offers plenty of space inside the cabin (almost for elephant). Dashboard and the seats are going to offer a sportier experience. The base Sport model comes with deluxe clothing while leather upholstery is available with Altitude Package. Standard Sport model includes: electronic stability control, electronic roll mitigation, Hill-start Assist, anti-lock front disc and rear drum brakes, foglights, Uconnect handsfree, outside temperature display, SiriusXM Radio audio jack, illuminated cup holders,fold-flat 60/40 folding rear seat, cruise control, rear seat heat ducts, rear window defrost and wiper, deep tint glass and roof side rails.

Engine wise,there are two options for the new Jeep Patriot 2016. The base unit is a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated inline-4 which delivers 158 horsepower and 141 lb-ft of torque. It comes mated with a 5-speed manual transsmison as standard while CVT automatic transmission comes only as an option. Second engine is 2.4-liter naturally aspirated with 172 horses and 165 lb-ft of torque. Standard transmission for this engine is 5-speed manual while CVT and 6-speed automatic transmission with Auto Stick are available as an option. Fuel economy is not yet determined but we expect that it will go up to 30 mpg on highway.

The new Jeep Patriot 2016 is faster, more fuel efficient as well as it will look a whole lot better than its predecessor. We expect that new Patriot will come to dealerships in the fall of 2015 with a starting price of $17,295 .
